When you own a one-man shop, you can pretty much do as you please, as long as you can find customers to pay for what you build.

Philip Roquebrune from Quebec is all about controlling the bike building process because he's confident that he has the skill and the vision down pat. Those qualitie, plus a healthy respect for biking's history, are bolstered with the ability to innovate and the flexibility to change direction if the vision doesn't pas out; quite a fearless approach.

The result , says Philip, is that his bikes have "soul."
